William Woods University’s online MBA program rated as one of the nation’s most affordable

The online Master of Business Administration degree at William Woods University continues to receive distinction as not only one of the nation’s best in terms of quality, but also for affordability. The latest accolade comes from Best Universities, a leading national higher education research organization.

According to the recently released Top Most Affordable Online MBA Programs for 2024, BestUniversities.net rated WWU’s online MBA as the 21st most affordable such degree program in the U.S., out of more than 400 institutions that offer online MBA programs evaluated. Only two other universities in Missouri were ranked higher than William Woods, and none in mid-Missouri.

Criteria for the affordability honor from BestUniversities.net includes tuition cost, which directly influences accessibility, affordability and potential return on investment. The list consists of regionally or nationally accredited institutions offering fully online MBA degrees with minimal in-person requirements.

The online MBA program was established at William Woods in 2013, and is another example of WWU continuing to thrive as a university through the development of creative, innovative programs, programs that are in-demand by today’s professionals.

“We established our online MBA program to provide a flexible, affordable, up to date academic program that meets the needs of aspiring business professionals,” said Dr. Jeremy Moreland, President of William Woods University. “Of course, offering both quality and affordability is not unique to our MBA program; all of our academic offerings at The Woods are of the highest quality and we will always strive to ensure that they are financially accessible to prospective students.”

Beyond affordability, the WWU MBA also benefits students in additional ways, including:

  • A program that provides students with opportunities to complete professional certificates and short-term badges through Coursera, which is an online course provider. Coursera works with universities and other organizations such as Google and IBM to offer online courses, micro-badges (short courses) and professional certificates;
  • William Woods Wednesdays, a weekly, live online discussion for students with their professors and fellow students in the program that allows for a connection beyond classes and coursework;
  • The MBA Flex Program gives MBA students the option to work with their advisor and a faculty member to develop a concentration in an area of personal/or professional interest;
  • The William Woods MBA Bridge Program, which allows undergraduate students to begin enrolling in graduate level MBA course work during their senior year of study, allowing them to get a jump on earning their degree in a more cost-effective manner.

The William Woods online MBA program is a 30-hour credit program priced at $500 per credit hour, for a total tuition cost of an affordable $13,500. Students interested in applying for this program must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 from an accredited university or college and completion of a bachelor’s degree.
