One of the nation’s most trusted college rating sources is out with its rankings of the top academic degree programs in the state of Missouri, and two such programs at William Woods University (WWU) came in among the very best in the state.
Universities.com, which provides annual rankings, tuition costs and in-depth information on more than 8,000 colleges and universities, scored both the WWU Elementary Education and Physical Education programs in the top three respectively when compared to similar programs at other Missouri colleges.
William Woods’ Elementary Education degree ranked as third best out of Elementary Education degree programs at 38 colleges and universities in the state, while the WWU Physical Education degree program came in second in the state in a ranking of 33 Missouri colleges and universities that offer a Physical Education degree. In both rankings, the William Woods degree programs were scored higher than all other colleges and universities in mid-Missouri.
“While I am pleased at the accolades afforded to our Elementary and Physical Education degree programs, I am not surprised,” said Dr. Jahnae H. Barnett, President of William Woods. “The quality of our academic programs has been a focus for all 150 years of our history here at William Woods, and we always appreciate having our programs recognized for their excellence.”
The ranking for each degree program was based on University.com’s compilation of data from government sources, student surveys, college graduate interviews and editorial review.
