2018-2019 Mainstage Season Series at William Woods continues with dark comedy “The Drowning Girls”

Fulton, MO – The 2018-2019 Mainstage Season Series at William Woods University (WWU) will continue this week with a production of the critically-acclaimed dark comedy, “The Drowning Girls.” The opening performance of the play will take place this Thursday, November 29, at Dulany Auditorium on the WWU campus.

“The Drowning Girls” tells the story of three deceased women in England who all died by drowning. The women rise from their watery graves to prosecute their murderer in what has been described as a “morbidly funny” production. Based on the true story of one of England’s most notorious serial killers, the audience becomes judge and jury in the trial, with the theme of violence against women as the backdrop. Shocking and delightful, the play is guaranteed to take your breath away.

Performances for The Drowning Girls will take place on November 29-30 and December 1 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee showing on Saturday, December 1 at 2 p.m., all in Dulany Auditorium. The play is intended for mature audiences.

Ticket prices vary: $11 for adults, $8 for WWU faculty and staff, and $6 for seniors (62+). Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.williamwoods.edu/mainstage, or call (573) 592-4267.
