William Woods University (WWU) is adopting new initiatives designed to simplify admission to the University, and make college more affordable overall.
With most standardized college testing canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, WWU is ensuring prospective students that they can still be admitted for fall 2020. As a way of simplifying the application process, William Woods is adopting a test-optional pathway as part of our criteria for future admission. This new initiative is in addition to the financial affordability platform the University began implementing in January 2020.
WWU’s new financial platform provides prospective students and their families with financial information as soon as the application is submitted. This innovative application process reassures students about the affordability of attending WWU.
“Here at William Woods, our commitment is to recruit graduates, not merely incoming students,” said Dr. Jahnae H. Barnett, President of William Woods University. “To do that, college must be affordable, and given our current crisis, that is more true now than it was just a few months ago. We will do everything possible to work with students, parents, and families to ensure that an education at William Woods is accessible and affordable.”
As Universities adjust to the disruption of COVID-19, look for the announcement of additional admissions initiatives from WWU in the coming weeks. For more information, contact WWU Admissions at admissions@williamwoods.edu.
