Three WWU students to receive Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees on same commencement day

Fulton, MO – Commencement Day 2019 is this Saturday at William Woods University (WWU), and for the first time, three students will receive two diplomas in one day, walking in both the undergraduate and graduate ceremonies.

Taking advantage of the university’s “MBA In 5” program, all three students will receive both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Master’s of Business Administration. The students – Riley  King of Raymore, Mo.; Victoria Wiley of Jefferson City, Mo. and Shelby Scanlan of San Jose, Calif.- completed undergraduate coursework in December 2018. Then, doubling up on MBA courses during the 2019 spring semester, all three were able to meet the necessary academic requirements to receive their graduate degrees this Saturday as well.

“One of the reasons William Woods is thriving as a institution continues to be our commitment to being a professions-oriented university,” said Dr. Jahnae H. Barnett, President of William Woods University. “Whether it is our MBA In 5 program, extensive online course offerings or exciting new degree programs, we will always be focused on producing graduates that are the most in-demand by today’s economy and today’s employers.”

At William Woods, students have the opportunity to participate in the university’s MBA In 5 program regardless of major, saving them both time and money (approximately 40% savings compared to the cost of a regular MBA). Students in the program graduate from WWU in five years (or less) with both their Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, just like the three students who will do so this Saturday during the university’s 2019 commencement exercises.
