William Woods University annually presents an exhibit highlighting creations by the art faculty. This year’s show will take place Oct. 5-30 in the Mildred M. Cox Gallery, with an opening reception Oct. 8.
“Every year this important exhibition provides an opportunity for art faculty to share the creative work we do and demonstrate the creativity we encourage in our students,” Terry Martin, professor of studio art, said.
Work by Martin, Jane Mudd, Bob Elliot and Joe Potter will be featured.
An opening reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Gladys Woods Kemper Center for the Arts. The reception is free and open to the public to provide everyone in the community a chance to view artwork emphasizing the faculty members’ studio practices and visual aesthetics. The reception will provide an opportunity for attendees to talk with the artists and enjoy light refreshments.
The Mildred M. Cox Gallery is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admissions is free. Information regarding the gallery can be found at www.williamwoods.edu/coxartgallery.
