WWU’s Alpha Chi Omega Receives Prestigious Award

The Delta Chi Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at William Woods University Women of Alpha Chi Omega with their awardhas won the national Continuing Excellence Award, which recognizes the top seven Alpha Chi Omega chapters in the country.

 


“This is the ninth consecutive year Delta Chi has received this prestigious award,” chapter advisor Judy Schmuck of Wildwood, Mo., said.

 

The National Council of Alpha Chi Omega presented the award to the women of Delta Chi for the 2008-2009 school year during which Brittany Welton of Willow Springs served as president.  

 

“This award is for a chapter that sustains outstanding achievement in all areas of programming, recruitment and retention of members, and has previously won the National Council Trophy,” Welton explained. “I could not be more proud to have been a part of the chapter while receiving such an honor as the Continuing Excellence Award.”

 

Schmuck acknowledged Welton’s part in the award:  “A big thank you to Brittany Welton, who put the awards book together showcasing the chapter’s many achievements.” 

 

The Delta Chi Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega was established at William Woods University in 1965 with the assistance of the Alpha Nu Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at the University of Missouri.
