WWU Wins Ribbons at Janian Series Horse Show

William Woods University students took home many ribbons from the Janian Series Horse Show held Oct. 28.

Seven student riders and six horses headed to nearby Columbia to compete for the day. The students were coached by equestrian science professor Gayle Lampe.

Leslie Mohme of Bastrop, Texas, showed The Heaven’s Masterpiece to win the MHSA Open English Pleasure class.

Jillian Hoiseth of Newburyport, Mass., showed MJK Seize Command to win Morgan Open English Pleasure.

Kaitlyn Alemain of East Weymouth, Mass., rode Uncle Buck’s Girl to take third in ASB Five Gaited Pleasure.

Ashley Hogan of Richland, Wash., took the reins to guide CH Odds on Spectre to a third place finish in Open Junior Exhibitor English Pleasure.

Addie Miller of Watertown, Minn., showed Reedan’s Raconteur to a fourth place ribbon in ASB Five Gaited Pleasure.

Natalie Cantelmi of Bethlehem, Pa., rode The Devil’s Advocate to a fifth place MHSA Arabian English Pleasure.

Many other students came to watch and help out the students who showed.
