WWU Takes Home Honors from Janian Horse Show

William Woods University students and horses took home great ribbons at the Janian Series Horse Show at the Midway Expo Center in Columbia, Mo., March 11-12. A significant number of the awards won were blue, first place ribbons.


Liz Duggan of Clearwater, Fla., rode The Great Gazoo to a first place in the ASB Five-Gaited Pleasure class.


Kirsten Lorence of Eden Prairie, Mo, teamed up with CH Mogul to take the blue in the ASB Show Pleasure class.


Alex Willie-Irmiter, of St. Paul, Minn., rode Lydian to another win in the Open Park class.


Jessie Fussner of Caseyville, Ill., rode MJK Seize Command to a first place finish in Morgan Open English Pleasure.


Marie Bouvet of Lakeville, Minn., put Desi through his paces to capture first place in the MHSA Saddleseat Medallion, as well as first in Open English Pleasure.


Jennifer Holdren of Louisville, Ky., showed I’m Real to a second place finish in the Open Park class.


Jackie Ware of Duluth, Ga., rode Red Hook to a second place ribbon in the Open 3 Gaited class.


Erin Kilray of Newington, Conn., teamed up with I Found My Champagne to win third in the Five Gaited Pleasure class.


Tom Parsons of Walla Walla, Wash., rode Callaway’s Abigail Adams to a third place finish in the Open 3 Gaited class.


Amber Petty of Lake St. Louis, Mo., rode Independently Wealthy to capture third in the Morgan Western Pleasure class, and fifth in Open Western Pleasure.

Laura Peters of Ferdinand, Ind., rode Trefethen to a fourth place finish in the ASB Country Pleasure class.


Cydney Cutchall of Bellevue, Neb., rode Tobyanna’s Juliette to a fourth place ribbon in Park Pleasure Open.


Jennie Stracke of Lebanon, Ill., rode Reedan’s Raconteur to a fifth place win in the Five Gaited Pleasure class.


Jess Tongen of Lake City, Minn., rode I’m No Butterfinger to a fifth place finish in Open Hunter Pleasure, as well as a sixth place finish in Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation.
