WWU Students Do Their Part to ‘Drown Out’ Childhood Cancer

William Woods University students this year are doing their part to “Drown Out Childhood Cancer” by raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with water-themed events.

During a two-hour car wash Thursday, the eight-member executive board of the student organization, Up Til Dawn, collected $254 in free-will donations toward their cause. Last month, they raised about $150 with a dunking booth featuring student life staff members.

Up Til Dawn has raised nearly $50,000 since the group was started on campus in 2004.
