WWU Students Compete in GO Tulsa Spring Horse Show

William Woods University sent 18 horses and riders to the Greater Oklahoma Tulsa Spring Horse Show in Tulsa, Okla., April 21-25, and they returned with five championships.

 


WWU students and horses were Champions in Adult Modified Child/Adult Hunter and Low Adult Amateur Jumper. They were Reserve Champions in High Adult Amateur Jumper (two WWU students tied for Reserve Champion) and .95M Jumper.

 

Heather Sim of Vernon Hills, Ill., rode Lemans and earned a second, sixth, seventh and eighth in Adult Amateur Hunter 18-35, a third in Adult Amateur Hunter Under Saddle 18-35, a second in GO 3’ Hunter Under Saddle and a sixth in the WIHS/NAL/M&S Adult Hunter Classic.

 

Olivia Ma of San Diego, Calif., and Bulletproof placed fifth in the Maybe/Puddle Jumper .8M class, eighth in.85M Jumper and fourth in.95M Jumper.

 

Alison Gay of Sugar Grove, Ill., rode The Understudy to a tie for Reserve Champion High Adult Amateur Jumper. She also earned an eighth in 1M Jumper, a fourth in 1.10M Jumper, a first, fourth and fifth in High Adult Amateur Jumper and eighth in the WIHS/NAL/M&S Child/Adult Jumper Classic.

 

Angela Hurteau of Ozark, Mo., and Blue October won a first, fourth, fifth and eighth in Modified Child/Adult Hunter. She also won three fourths and a seventh in GO 2’6” Hunter. Hurteau and Blue October also placed sixth in the Hunter Warm Up class.

 

Marissa Parenti of Hooksett, N.H., and Vainqueur won Reserve Champion .95M Jumper. Parenti won a first and a sixth in .95M Jumper, a second in .85M Jumper and a second in Low Adult Amateur Jumper.

 

Miranda Weber of Niagra, Wis., and Ashmore Blue won a third in Maybe/Puddle Jumper, as well as a third and a fifth in .85M Jumper.

 

Bryn Hudson of Carollton, Texas, rode Quo Vadis to a sixth in 1M Jumper, a sixth in High Adult Amateur Jumper and a seventh in High Adult Amateur Jumper.

                                                            

Kristen Busher of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Vienna were Champion Low Adult Amateur Jumper. She won a first and a second in Low Adult Amateur Jumper, as well as a fourth in .95M Jumper and a sixth in .85M Jumper.

 

Ann Kiddy of Cabot, Ark., rode Colonia to a tie for Reserve Champion High Adult Amateur Jumper. Kiddy and Colonia also won a third in 1.10M Jumper, two seconds and a fifth in High Adult Amateur Jumper and a fourth is the WIHS/NAL/M&S Child/Adult Classic.

 

Kelly Henry of Jefferson City, Mo., riding Capital Account, was Champion Modified Child/Adult Hunter. She won two firsts and two seconds in Modified Child/Adult Hunter, as well as a second in Modified Child/Adult Hunter Under Saddle. Henry and Capital Account also won three fifths in GO 2’6” Hunter, as well as a fifth in GO 2’6” Hunter Under Saddle.

 

Melissa Smith of Fort Meyers, Fla., rode KLM’s Mr. McCloud to a fourth and two fifths in Low Adult Amateur Jumper.

 

Hillary Smith of Naperville, Ill., rode Happy Hour to a second, two thirds and a seventh in Modified Child/Adult Hunter, a seventh in Modified Child/Adult Hunter Under Saddle and an eighth in the GO 2’6” Hunter.

 

Jenna Martin of Valley Center, Calif., riding Sainted, won first in GO 2’6” Hunter Under Saddle, and a second, third, fourth and sixth in GO 2’6” Hunter.

 

Andrea Hutchinson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, rode Pro Bono to a fifth, three sevenths and an eighth in Adult Amateur Hunter 18-35, and an eighth in the WIHS/NAL/M&S Adult Hunter Classic.

 

Abby Dinsick of Fulton, Mo., riding Timeless, won two fifths and a seventh in Adult Amateur Hunter 18-35, an eighth in Adult Amateur Hunter Under Saddle 18-35, and a fourth in the WIHS/NAL/M&S Adult Hunter Classic.

 

Indrani Sardelli of Fulton, Mo., rode Bi Ciuin to a third and a fifth in GO 2’6” Hunter, a sixth in GO 2’6” Hunter Under Saddle and a fourth and a seventh in the Hunter Warm Up.

 

Kristen Wieland of Lisle, Ill., riding Reno, won two sixths and an eighth in GO 2’6” Hunter, a seventh in GO 2’6” Hunter Under Saddle and a seventh in the Hunter Warm Up class.
