WWU Sophomore from Butternut, Wis., Named Outstanding

Lynn Frydrych, a sophomore at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Sophomore Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 20.

The daughter of Todd and Pamela Frydrych of Butternut, Wis., she is majoring in American Sign Language interpreting.

The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.

Frydrych was honored for her involvement in campus organizations and service projects. She is sophomore class president, co-chair of Campus Integration Group and president of University Ambassadors. She also is a community advisor for her residence hall and an accompanist for chapel services.

She in involved in Campus Activities Board, Campus Crusade for Christ, Student Alumni Council, Hands-Up Club, Leader Scholars, Campus Standards Board, President’s Twenty and the Honors Program.

Her community service includes volunteering at the Missouri School for the Deaf, SERVE Clothes Cupboard and the First Baptist Church Deaf Club.
