WWU Social Work Club Collects Prom Wear

Throughout the month of October, the William Woods University Social Work Club is collecting clothing—but not just any clothing. This drive is special because it is for a special occasion.6C6_sport

B31_Prom-DressThe club is working with the Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association to appropriately dress young people for their high school proms. They are looking for prom dresses for young ladies, and dress jackets and ties for young men.

All sizes will be accepted, but the young ladies are most in need of dresses size 12 and up. The young men especially need jackets of all sizes and ties.

“We are doing this drive for the Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association, which is a not-for-profit agency, so anything that we can provide will be well appreciated,” Shelby Dolezal, Social Work Club president, said.

Last month, the Social Work Club held a baby supply drive. Members collected diapers, clothes, formula, food and bottles. The donations were delivered to SERVE in Fulton to help families in need.
