Senior art majors at William Woods University will exhibit their work April 5–May 6 in the Mildred Cox Gallery of the Gladys Woods Kemper Center for the Arts. Alumna Marge Shepherd Brichler ’55 of League City, Texas, will exhibit her photography and graphic design also.
A public reception for the seniors will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 5. Brichler will be honored April 23, during Alumni Weekend.
The students’ exhibit will consist of drawings, paintings, graphic images, photography, fiber work, ceramics, sculpture, basketry and design projects. The theme for the show is “Reflection.” Each student has defined what reflection means to them and put it into some kind of art form.
Graduating seniors exhibiting are: Ivy Allen of Fulton, Mo.; Ruth Blankenship of Louisiana, Mo.; Erin Cloninger of Advance, Mo.; Megan Colbert of Curryville, Mo.; Cara Evans of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; Caroline Hawkin of Las Vegas, Nev.; John Hayes of Independence, Mo.; Allison Hedges of Kansas City, Mo.; Olive Humphrey of Fulton, Mo.; Micheala Krug of Long Grove, Iowa; Joe Ortinau of St. Louis, Mo.; and Mike Toomey of Fenton, Mo.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Friday, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday – Sunday. Admission is free and open to the public.
