The William Woods University Hunter/Jumper Show Team will host its annual Fall Jumping Derby on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to mid-afternoon. The derby is free and open to the public. It is recommended that spectators bring lawn chairs to sit on.
The derby will be held in the Outdoor Arena on the Equestrian Facility.
The show will consist of traditional hunter/jumper classes and high and low jumping derbies. The jumps will get progressively higher during the derby, with the lowest jumps in the beginning classes and the highest in the classes toward the end.
The 2005 Jumping Derby is a member of the Missouri Horse Shows Association and the Missouri Hunter Jumper Organization. Money from the derby will help send show team members and WWU show horses to nationally recognized horse competitions.
