Scott T. Gallagher, a Jefferson City resident with a long history of political and governmental service has joined William Woods University as vice president of enrollment and advancement services.
Reporting to him will be the directors of university advancement, university relations, alumni and enrollment services.
A graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor of arts degree in political science, Gallagher began his career in the Washington office of then Senator John C. Danforth.
He returned to Missouri to work as chief bank examiner in the office of the state treasurer for four years. In the late 90s, Gallagher was cabinet secretary and director of programs for the governor of Rhode Island, with responsibility for the governor’s scheduler, director of protocol, manager of the programs/advance office, and 17 department directors.
Since leaving governmental service, Gallagher has been involved with the travel industry—as chief operating officer of Metro Travel in Charlotte, N.C., and principal/managing director of IndeGo Travel in Jefferson City.
