Sarah McCune Losinger of Dallas, Texas, was named an honorary alumnus during William Woods University’s Alumni Weekend, April 15-17. Honorary alumni are selected in recognition of their distinguished personal achievement and outstanding community service.
Losinger is director the McCune Foundation and chairman of the board for the McCune Charitable Foundation. The McCune Foundation, which is a strong supporter of William Woods, is a not-for-profit organization based in Pittsburgh, Pa., that supports the cause of education, human services, humanities and civic facilities.
She also is a member of the Advisory Council of the Communities Foundation of Texas, a select group of professional, business and civic leaders promoting philanthropy in north Texas. In addition, she serves on the campaign council for Parkland Health and Hospital System, the primary teaching hospital for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Losinger attended William Woods and earned a B.S. from the University of Oklahoma in 1976. Her mother and sister are alumni of WWU, and her cousin, John Edwards, serves as chairman of the WWU board of trustees and chairman of the Imagine campaign.
