WWU Names Greenwald Outstanding Sophomore

Lauren GreenwaldLauren Greenwald of Houston, Texas, received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Sophomore Award at William Woods University’s recent co-curricular honors banquet.


The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.


Greenwald is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, holding the position of vice president of membership development and class representative on the chapter’s relations and standards board. She was previously vice president of philanthropy.


She is also a member of President’s Twenty, serves on the Student Assembly Finance Committee and has been a University Ambassador. Greenwald was awarded the Greek Unsung Hero Award and the Devotion pin of the Alpha Chi Omega.


She has volunteered locally at blood drives, CARD-V, collecting clothes for a women’s shelter, Faith Maternity Home, local preschool, SERVE Adopt-a-Family and many other.
