WWU Junior Awarded Edward Jones Scholarship

Kendra Propst of Jefferson City, Mo., has received a scholarship from Missouri Colleges Fund (MCF) in recognition of her accomplishments at William Woods University. She is a junior, majoring in management information systems.

Money for the scholarship came from Edward Jones, which provided $15,000 to Missouri Colleges Fund to fund 15 scholarships of $1,000 each at MCF-member independent colleges and universities. The funds were restricted to students enrolled in a business-related field of study.

Propst is a member of the William Woods Owls softball team and active in the Champions of Character Program. To be a part of the program, athletes must show attributes of integrity, responsibility, respect, servant leadership and sportsmanship. She has participated in several community service activities, including sorting toys for the less fortunate, visiting hospitals and chaperoning teen dances.

She plans to obtain a business administration degree with a concentration in management information systems. Upon graduation, she plans to go to graduate school to get her master’s degree in business administration (MBA).
