WWU Honored at Missouri Horse Shows Association Awards Banquet

William Woods University horses and riders were honored at the Missouri Horse Shows Association (MHSA) annual awards banquet Feb. 7 at the Peachtree Banquet Center in Columbia, Mo. Seventeen university-owned horses received awards.

During the show season, points are awarded to each nominated horse based upon the ribbons it wins; higher placings receive more points. Since they are owned by the university, WWU horses may be shown by multiple riders, but there is usually one student who partnered with that horse more often than the others, thus helping to accumulate most of the points for that horse. It is these riders that are listed.
