One group on William Woods University’s campus has committed itself to helping growing families in need of resources, with one specific resource in mind—diapers.
The men of Phi Gamma Delta have dedicated their time to collecting money for diapers, a project they call “Dudes for Diapers.”
To raise money for their project, the men initiated a campus-wide competition between all of the Greek chapters and residential halls, advertising the event all over campus. The donations were made at a table the fraternity set up in Tucker Dining Hall.
The money that Phi Gamma Delta raised was then donated to the Lutheran Family and Children Services in Columbia, which will distribute the diapers to needy families.
According to Drew Neudecker, Phi Gamma Delta corresponding secretary, this year’s “Dudes for Diapers” raised $140. He added, “Our chapter has done this for many years, and it has been a success every year.”
