WWU Equestrians Win 11 Awards at Janian Horse Show

Student riders from William Woods University took four first place ribbons and seven other awards at the Janian Series Horse Show in Columbia, Mo., March 13. The WWU riders were coached by Gayle Lampe, professor of equestrian science, and Laura Ward, chair of the equestrian studies division.


First place winners were:

Jackie Ware of Duluth, Ga., on I Found My Champagne, in ASB 5-Gaited Pleasure, All Ages


Jimmy Bushard of Random Lake, Wis., on Lydian, in ASB Park Open/Amateur


Erin Kilray of Newington, Conn., on Titlest Baywatch in ASB Country English Pleasure, All Ages


Winning second were:


Kirsten Lorence of Eden Prairie, Minn., on Callaway’s Connie Mack, in ASB 5-Gaited Pleasure, All Ages


Jessica Savinelli of Newton, N.H., on Green Top, in ASB 3-Gaited Show Pleasure, All Ages


Ashleigh Disney of Fulton, Mo., on CH Odds on Spectre in ASB Country English Pleasure, All Ages
