WWU Brings Home Calvary Champions

William Woods University students had a great show at the Calvary Episcopal Charity Horse Show Oct. 13-16 at the Mid-Way Expo Center in Columbia, Mo.


A total of eight horse and rider teams competed, and out of those eight, five won blue ribbons. WWU horses competed in a total of 12 classes, and out of all 12, half of the ribbons won were blues.


Miriam Hirshon of showed MJK Seize Command to blue ribbons in both the Amateur Morgan English Pleasure class and the Morgan English Pleasure Stake.

Liz Duggan rode Auhl That Jazz to a first place ribbon in the Open Morgan English Pleasure class, and a second place ribbon in the Morgan English Pleasure Stake.


Jennifer Holdren rode Promise To Command to a third place ribbon in Open Morgan English Pleasure, and fourth in the Morgan English Pleasure Stake.


Suzanne Johnson showed I Found My Champagne to a blue ribbon in the ASB 5-Gaited Show Pleasure, Division 1. They also took second in the ASB 5-Gaited Show Pleasure Stake.


Angie Noah teamed up with Heir Head to take sixth in the ASB 5-Gaited Show Pleasure Division 2.
Jimmy Bushard rode CH Odds on Spectre to a first place ribbon in Adult 3-Gaited Country Pleasure.


Cydney Cutchall showed Oedse K to a blue ribbon in Open English Pleasure Division 2.


Amanda Wright teamed up with Summer Rendezvous to take third in the Amateur 5-Gaited class.
