The women of Alpha Chi Omega sorority at William Woods University are throwing tradition to the wind and staging a “Womanless Beauty Pageant.” A fundraiser for Card-V (Coalition Against Rape and Domestic Violence) in Fulton, the event is planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, in Dulany Auditorium.
“Only males contestants are allowed,” Katie Hill, a sophomore from Quincy, Ill., said. “This is a fun project that helps us support our philanthropy—woman and children against domestic violence,” she added. Hill is vice president for fraternity relations and chair of the project.
Each sorority, fraternity, or group of at least four people may sponsor an entry. The entry fee is $15. A panel of judges will evaluate each contestant in the areas of interview, sportswear, talent and formal wear.
If you would like to sponsor a contestant or would like more information regarding the event, contact Katie Hill at (573) 592-4621 or email@example.com.
