Margie Bramon is the new director of human resources at William Woods University. She replaces Kathy Groves, who recently was promoted to vice president of enrollment services and marketing.
Bramon is a Baker University graduate, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and a Master of Science degree in management.
Before joining WWU, she was manager of Human Resource Programs at Shelter Insurance for seven years. Prior to that, she was the organizational results senior analyst for the Missouri Department of Transportation for four years.
Other experience includes manager of programs for MU Direct for four years and training manager for MidwayUSA. She holds certification in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
“Having graduated from a private Kansas university that is about the same size as William Woods and similar in so many other ways,” Bramon said, “I enjoy looking out the widow periodically at the students passing by and relating to the quality education they are gaining and the extra growth (and) leadership experiences afforded by a university of our size.”
As the director of human resources, Bramon will provide leadership and guidance in such areas as recruitment and diversity, compensation, benefit plan design, employee relations, professional development and training.
“In hindsight I always knew my choice of universities was one of my best decisions,” Bramon said, “and I think I have repeated another great decision with William Woods.”
