William Woods University will host its annual Completely Relaxed Spring Schooling Dressage Show Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20. Free and open to the public, the show will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days in the Rowland Applied Riding Arena.
The show, which is MHSA/CDCTA recognized, is open to students currently enrolled in riding classes and outside riders who want to show their own horses. The show provides an opportunity for students to show for the first time and for students and outside riders to prepare for the upcoming show season. The participation fee is $15 per class, with an office fee of $10 per horse/rider combination for the weekend.
Marketa Matthews, owner of Quarter Line Dressage in Chesterfield, Missouri, will be the judge. A life-long equestrian, she has an accomplished competition record in both Europe and the United States. She has earned her United Stated Dressage Federation (USDF) Bronze and Silver medals (showing at Training Level through Prix St. Georges).
