William Woods students to present Christmas concert

Christmas-ConcertFirst Impressions, a student-run choir group at William Woods University, will perform two Christmas concerts— at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, and 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22. The concerts, to be held in Cutlip Auditorium, are free and open to the public.

Audience members are invited to wear their Best (i.e. Worst) Ugly Christmas Sweater and be prepared to hear some favorite classics and a few with a twist. “Do You Hear What I Hear?” “Cartoon Christmas,” “The Christmas Song” and “Grown Up Christmas List” are just a few of the pieces to be performed.

Caitlyn Ney will sing a solo, “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” and Brynna Gruber will accompany herself on guitar while singing “Marvelous Little Toy.”

Victoria Honigman, Annelise Walker, Olivia Davidson, Melissa D. Williams and Ashley Pendleton will do a duet acapella version of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman.”

Other choir members are Chandler Bramstedt, Clare Browning, Shannon Grenke, Trevor Gruber (director), Rachelle Hawkins, Ashley Fleeman, Kala Pinkham, Emily Tichy, Brandi Traylor (director), Lauren Thompson, Jessie Trapp, Chasah Warkentin, Briannon “Koriie” VanWinkle and Mark Webb (alumnus).
