William Woods Professor to show in National Oil and Acrylic Society Exhibitions

Terry Martin, William Woods University professor of art, has been selected to participate in three upcoming National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society exhibitions.

Martin will submit three pieces for “The Paintings of the NOAP Society Signature Artists 2003” series: “Across My Path,” “Meadowlark and Sunflowers” and “Memory of Walk in the Woods with Father.”

Martin, a resident of Jefferson City, was inducted into the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society (NOAPS) Signature Artists’ Guild in 2001. The guild is an honorary fellowship of career artist members whose work is recognized for consistent excellence.

Martin says that being selected for such a prestigious show is an honor and it now “sets a standard. I ask my students to work towards excellence and this shows that I expect the same of myself.”

The first exhibition will be held in Jasper, Texas, at Gallery Square March 1 through March 24. The second will be held April 4 through April 13 in Fountainside Gallery in Wilmington, N.C. The final exhibition will be in High Road Gallery in Worthington, Ohio, April 30 through May 31.
