William Woods University students recently selected their 2011 CourtWarming King and Queen. Drew Neudecker, a management information systems and business administration major from Alton, Ill., was voted king, and Katie Klingemann, a physical education major from St. Louis, Mo., was chosen queen.

Members of the court were: Lucas Watson, Louisiana, Mo.; Lisa Burke, Louisburg, Kan.; Zach Hurst, Jefferson City, Mo.; Maddie Ortego, Fayetteville, Ark.; Ryan Ellis, Ballwin, Mo.; Ashlee Schlueter, Holts Summit, Mo.; Jason Rose, Louisburg, Kan., and Lauren Soukup, Imperial, Mo.

Coronation of the court took place Feb. 5 between the women’s and men’s basketball games against Harris-Stowe State University in the Anderson Arena of the Helen Stephens Sports Complex.

The event marked the end of William Woods University’s fourth annual CourtWarming Week, a tradition introduced by the WWU’s Student Alumni Council to encourage school spirit.
