Kyle Rogers of Wichita, Kan., a senior at William Woods University, has been named to the 2008 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
The son of Lynn and Kris Rodgers, he is majoring in history.
Rogers was one of 13 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on being an outstanding campus leader. A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Rogers joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
A member of Pi Kappa Alpha, he has served as president, treasurer, pledge educator and brotherhood chair.
He is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and the Mock Trial team. He has competed in the Phi Alpha Delta Invitational twice and in the Yale Invitational.
Rogers served as the student liaison for the criminal justice faculty search committee. He has been a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an English honor society; President’s Twenty, Outdoor Club and the varsity cross country team.
He uses his academic talents to help other students as an English tutor.
Rogers has consistently been on the Dean’s List, received the Pi Kappa Alpha Scholar of the Year every year, the Pi Kappa Alpha Leader of the Year award and the Pi Kappa Alpha “PIKE” of the Year award. He is also a McNutt Scholar.
