Kathryn Buehrle of Wentzville, Mo., has been named to the 2010 edition of “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.” She graduated from William Woods University Saturday with a bachelor of science degree.
She was also named the Distinguished Scholar in athletic training. To be a Distinguished Scholar at William Woods, a graduating senior must be selected by the faculty of a particular discipline. A minimum grade point average of 3.4 is required.
Buehrle, a double major in athletic training and equestrian science, was one of eight William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who based on being an outstanding campus leader.
A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Buehrle joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
