Wentzville Resident Named Outstanding at William Woods University

Casey Parmenter, of Wentzville, Mo., a sophomore at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Sophomore Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 18.
She is the daughter of Sandy Painter.

The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.

Parmenter is the vice president of membership development for Alpha Chi Omega sorority, chair of the Student Assembly and a member of the Hunter/Jumper Show Team. She participates in R-Cubed, GAMMA (Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol), St. Jude’s Up Til Dawn, Woods Wire, University Wed Design Committee and is active in the Greek Housing Committee.

Her community service includes recycling and working as a Hospice volunteer.
