Stephanie Doorack of Union, Mo., a December graduate of William Woods University, has been named to the 2010 edition of “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
Doorack, who majored in communications and minored in business administration, was one of eight William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on outstanding campus leadership.
A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Doorack joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
During her time at WWU, Doorack was a member of Alpha Phi sorority and President’s Twenty, served on Campus Standards Board and helped with Operation Christmas Child and Up ’Til Dawn for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also was the junior leader of HorseWise 4-H Club and was a member of the Union Saddle Club.
