Starbucks soon to be brewing on WWU campus

William Woods University is one step closer to having
Starbucks Coffee on campus next fall. President’s Twenty sponsored an auction March
27 in Tucker Dining Hall to bring Starbuck’s to the Owl’s Nest.

Approximately $2,500 was raised during the auction to provide
assistance for the Owl’s Nest, located in the McNutt Campus Center, to serve
Starbuck’s Coffee.  Auction items were donated—and  purchased—by WWU faculty, staff and students,
as well as some community members.
“The auction went very well,” Dakota Linsenbardt,
chair of the auction, said. “It would not have been possible without all of the
support we had coming from William Woods faculty and staff, as well as members
of President’s Twenty.”
He added, “I am always so impressed with how
involved the faculty and staff are in functions such as our auction. It makes
occasions such as this run so much smoother.”
Twenty decided to donate the proceeds to the Owl’s Nest at the request of students,
who not only like the brew, but are impressed with the global responsibility
associated with the American coffeemaker. President’s Twenty  is a collegiate honorary service society whose members
serve as the
university president’s
official ambassadors at university events.
