St. James Resident Named to Who’s Who

scott thompson 2010Scott Thompson of St. James, Mo., has been named to the 2010 edition of “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.” He graduated from William Woods University Saturday with a bachelor of science degree.

 


Thompson was one of eight William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who based on outstanding campus leadership.

 

A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

 

By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Thompson joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

 
A member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Thompson served as historian (2007-08) public relations chairmen (2007-08) and External Vice President (2008-09). He was also a member of WWU golf team, Student Website Advancement Team and Order of Omega Greek national honor society. He also served as a residence hall community advisor and Freshman Advantage peer mentor.
