Sojourn Rocks promises to provide an energetic and exciting rock and roll tour through the decades during an upcoming performance at William Woods University.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, outside Tucker Dining Hall at William Woods University. The audience is encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the concert alongside Senior Lake. Refreshments will be available.
In case of rain, the concert will be performed in Cutlip Auditorium of the McNutt Campus Center.
The Rock ‘N’ Roll Journey is part of the annual President’s Concert and Lecture Series, which brings top entertainment to campus for the enjoyment of students and the community.
Sojourn Rocks is a regional band that was formed in 1998. They play the classic rock hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s, as well as the rock hits of the 90s and today. Sojourn also crosses over and performs country tunes.
Included in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Journey are songs from A to Z—Aerosmith, Beatles, Doors, Eagles, Elvis, Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf and ZZ Top, as well as country favorites Brooks & Dunn and George Strait.
