Talented singer-songwriter Shannon Curtis enjoyed her concert at William Woods University so much last November that she decided to make another stop here on her latest tour. Curtis will perform in the McNutt Campus Center on Monday, March 1, at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
Curtis grew up with a love of music, and became the lead singer of the rock band Paradigm. Recently, she has rediscovered the joys of being a solo artist. Her latest CD, “I Play the Piano and Sing Love Songs,” is available for pre-order now on her website, www.shannoncurtis.net.
“The show at William Woods was one of my favorites from the whole tour – I really, really enjoyed playing for and felt a great connection with the students talking and hanging out after the show,” said Curtis.
Students were equally as complimentary. Calla Lovall of Russellville, Mo., loved the personal touches the singer put into the performance and the level of interaction.
“Before almost every song, Shannon gave some information about how it came about or what purpose she had for writing it. I thought that was neat. I had the opportunity to chat with her afterwards, and she was very polite and fun.”
