‘Run With It’ scheduled to perform at William Woods

Color JumpA pop/rock band built on a foundation of funk will perform at William Woods University Feb. 16. Their performance, scheduled for 7 p.m. in Dulany Auditorium, is free and open to the public.

CAB (Campus Activities Board) is sponsoring the concert by Run With It, a band members heard at the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities (APCA) Fall Midwest Regional Conference.

“At the conference we were able to watch artists perform in a number of showcases and participate in the booking process on site,” Shannon Garcia, graduate assistant in the Center for Student Involvement, said.

“We met Run With It and really enjoyed their performance, which was high energy and packed with today’s hit music,” she explained. “They were a popular act at the conference since they are very upbeat, personable and have a strong social media presence. The band is based out of Kansas City, so we immediately connected with them and set up a date for them to come to campus.”

Garcia said fans of The Black Keys, Maroon 5 and Imagine Dragons “will love this powerhouse trio. They believe ‘art can change the world’ and they are building a fan base that wants to make that happen.”
