Pacific Resident Named to Who’s Who

cody olendorff 2010Cody Olendorff of Pacific, Mo., has been named to the 2010 edition of “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.” He graduated from William Woods University Saturday with a bachelor of science degree.


He was also named the Distinguished Scholar in theatre. To be a Distinguished Scholar at William Woods, a graduating senior must be selected by the faculty of a particular discipline. A minimum grade point average of 3.4 is required.


Olendorff, a musical theatre performance major, was one of eight William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who based on outstanding campus leadership.


A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.


By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Olendorff joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

Olendorff has played the lead role in more than 10 theatre productions at WWU. He was also member of President’s Twenty, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership organization and Alpha Psi Omega theatre honor society. In addition he has served as a residence hall community advisor, a university ambassador and a community player for a Jefferson City, Mo., theatre.
