Sarah Anderson, a sophomore at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Sophomore Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 19.
The daughter of Sally Anderson, she is formerly of Manhattan and now of Overland Park, Kan.
The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.
Anderson is new member educator for Chi Omega sorority and recruitment chair for Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity. She also is a member of WWU’s volleyball team.
Her community service involvement includes Champions of Character, service projects in her sorority house, and coaching sixth and seventh graders volleyball at the YMCA.
