Outstanding Students Named at WWU

Fifteen students at William Woods University received Student Alumni Council Outstanding Student Awards at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 18.

The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.

Named Outstanding Freshmen were Rachel Atchison of Flora, Ind.; Frankie Hart of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Emily Teepe of Nevada, Mo.

Selected as Outstanding Sophomores were Stacie Bonte of Fenton, Mo.; Casey Parmenter of Wentzville, Mo.; Jessica Tipton of Justin, Texas, and Brittany Welton of Willow Springs, Mo.

Chosen as Outstanding Juniors were Sarah Chatham of Chatham, Ill.; Brynn Elliott of Newcastle, Wyo.; Sarah Popelka of Clayton, Mo.; Mikol Reichardt of Middletown, Mo., and Kristin Smith of San Francisco.

Outstanding Seniors were Stephanie Ducher of St. Louis, Mo.; Lynn Frydrych of Butternut, Wis., and Lauren McMichael of Houston, Texas.
