Outstanding Students Named at WWU

Thirteen students at William Woods University received Student Alumni Council Outstanding Student Awards at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 19.

The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.

Named Outstanding Freshmen were Kristen Garnett and Nikea Rudloff, both of Jefferson City, and Allie Layos of New Tripoli, Pa.

Selected as Outstanding Sophomores were Sarah Anderson of Overland Park, Kan.; Sarah Chatham of Chatham, Ill.; Sable Handke of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Kristin Smith of San Francisco.

Chosen as Outstanding Juniors were Molly Borgmeyer of Columbia; Catharine Douglass of Kansas City; Lynn Frydrych of Butternut, Wis., and Shaun Speers of O’Fallon.

Outstanding Seniors were Lindsay Hackmann and Joshua Potter, both of Fulton.
