Erica Dyer of Odessa, Mo., a senior at William Woods University, has been named to the 2007 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
The daughter of Marion and Robin Dyer of Odessa, Mo., she is majoring in communications.
Dyer was one of 13 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on being an outstanding campus leader. A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Dyer joins and elite group students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
A recipient of the Outstanding Sophomore Student Award two years ago, Dyer has been extremely active in campus activities. She is executive director for Up Til Dawn, which raises funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She is also actively involved in President’s Twenty, Campus Crusade for Christ and the Campus Standards Board. She was vice president of University Ambassadors last year and has served as a peer mentor and orientation assistant. She has also been a university phonathon caller and supervisor.
