New Members Initiated into Education Honorary Society

William Woods University has initiated 15 new members into the Nu Rho Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi education honorary society.

Kappa Delta Pi is an international honor society organized to recognize excellence in education. Education students who have completed 60 hours or more and have achieved a grade point average of 3.25 or above are eligible for induction.

The new William Woods initiates include Sandra Backer and John Ford II of Fulton, as well as Rebecca Oliver, Misty Phillips and Tarra White of Mexico, Mo. Other initiates are: Krystal Bennett of Couch, Mo.; Tamara Brinley of Montgomery City, Mo.; Sarah Carter of Garden City, Kan.; Breena Cook of Ashland, Mo.; Katie Hill of Quincy, Ill.; Michelle Kohl of Maryland Heights, Mo.; Shanna Lonsberry of Elsberry, Mo.; Jessica Schwartz of Hermann, Mo.; Heather Sappington of St. Louis, and Tara Turner of Imperial, Mo.

Michael Tan, WWU assistant professor of education, is the counselor for the Nu Rho chapter of Kappa Delta Pi.
