Guitarist and vocalist AnnaMaria will perform at William Woods University Oct. 19 in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The performance is set for 6 p.m. in Cutlip Auditorium of the McNutt Campus Center. It is free and open to the public and appropriate for all audiences.
AnnaMaria, a native of Santa Fe, N.M., infuses her Mediterranean and Spanish cultures into her performances of classical and flamenco music, as well as her storytelling.
Tammy Carter, director of the office of multicultural affairs, is excited about the eclectic and enlightening nature of AnnaMaria’s show.
“Her program consists of a musical journey tracing the cultural and historical development of the roots of flamenco. Thus, her programs are educational as well as entertaining,” said Carter.
The program is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs. For more information, contact Carter at (573) 592-4358 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
