REACH, a unique and innovative modern dance troupe from Kansas City, will perform at William Woods University March 4 as part of the President’s Concert and Lecture Series.
The performance, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. in Cutlip Auditorium of the McNutt Campus Center.
REACH, established in 1998, is known for presenting high-quality public performances while increasing the understanding and appreciation of the modern dance art form through the presentation of choreographed, theatrical and improvisational works.
The dancers are also known for their dynamic, explosive and dramatic choreography.
The company performs self-produced shows and has also participated in festivals in Kansas City, Columbia and St. Louis. The dancers are under the direction of Richard Parsons, a founding member and choreographer for REACH, and Marisa MacKay, who serves as co-artistic director, as well as choreographer for REACH.
The President’s Concert and Lecture Series was created by William Woods University to encourage student and community participation in educational and cultural events.
