Lampe Wins Four 1st Place Ribbons at UPHA Horse Show

Gayle Lampe, professor of equestrian science at William Woods University, captured four 1st place ribbons at the 18th Annual United Professional Horsemen’s Association Chapter 5 Horse Show. The show was held May 12-15 at Midway Exposition Center in Columbia.


In addition to Lampe’s success, five of her students and an alumna earned ribbons, as well. The results were:


Gayle Lampe of Fulton, 1st Place, Five Gaited, Ladies and 1st Place, ASB Five Gaited Ladies on Born To Win; 1st Place, Five Gaited Mares and 1st Place, Will Shriver Five Gaited Stake on She’s Out And About.


Kris Maloney of West Seneca, N.Y., 1st Place, ASB Country Western Pleasure, Amateur Exhibitor and 1st Place, ASB Country Western Pleasure Stake on Revelwood’s Jacks are Wild.


Vicki Carlile of Smithfield, Ky., 1st Place, ASB Three Gaited Show Pleasure, Novice Rider and 3rd Place, ASB Show Pleasure Adult Rider Championship on Tonight’s Dream.


Jessica Savinelli of Newton, N.H., 2nd Place, Five Gaited Stallions/ Geldings, Amateur on Swatch Watch.


Karen White Coup, ’72 WWU graduate from Wichita, Kan., 2nd Place, ASB Show Pleasure Adult Rider Championship on Sultan Starfish.


Liz Duggan of Clearwater, Fla., 3rd Place, ASB Country Pleasure, Adult Exhibitor and 4th Place, ASB Country English Pleasure Stake on Odds On Spectra.


Amanda Wright of Illion, N.Y., 3rd Place, ASB Five Gaited Pleasure and 5th Place, ASB Five Gaited Pleasure Stake on Colossal.
