Jessica Labby, a senior at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received the Student Alumni Council Outstanding Senior Student Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet April 17
The daughter of Rodney and Sandra Labby of Magnolia, Texas, she formerly lived in the Rochester, N.Y., suburb of Webster
Labby previously had been recognized as an Outstanding Freshman and an Outstanding Sophomore. While at William Woods, she has been president of Alpha Phi sorority, charter member and historian of Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity, chair of the Judicial Board, student representative to the university’s board of trustees and co-class president.
She has been a member of President’s Twenty, Campus Ambassadors, Call Team, Orientation Assistants, Student Life Task Force, Campus Activities Board and Leaders Scholars
The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.
