Megan Klein, a senior at William Woods University, has been named to the 2004 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
The daughter of Robert and Kristin Klein of Fort Smith, Ark., she is majoring in communications.
Klein was one of 13 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on being an outstanding campus leader. A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By her listing in “Who’s Who,” Klein joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
Klein is involved in numerous campus activities, including University Ambassadors, Student Assembly bylaws committee, the Woods Wire public relations manager, Jesters secretary and Circle K.
She was chosen for membership in Alpha Chi Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta communications honorary, and serves as treasurer of Phi Beta Lambda business honor society. Klein is news director of KWWU, the campus radio station; volunteers at the WWU theatre box office and did an internship with ABC 17 News.
A member of Alpha Phi sorority, she has been director of continuous open bidding, Campus Government Association representative, director of finance and director of chapter facilities.
