Keosauqua Resident Named Outstanding

Ann DeHart, of Keosauqua, Iowa., a freshman at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Freshman Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 23.


She is the daughter of Blaine DeHart and Beverly Boecker .


The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.


Dehart is actively involved in the Chi Omega sorority, serving as Panhellenic delegate, vice president of Panhellenic Council and vice president of Greek Council. She’s also involved in the Hunter/Jumper Show Team.


Some of her community service activities include the Equestrian Special Olympics, the Van Buren Community Theater and variety of philanthropies at WWU.


She is a University Ambassador and will be a Community Advisor for the fall semester.
